We are seeking Human Resources Generalist / Recruiter responsible for recruiting new talent, developing policies, overseeing personnel, including promotions, and disciplinary actions in compliance with company policies. This position will also determine staffing requirements and oversee the entire recruitment process.

Preference will be given to those with HRPA designations of CHRP or CHRL, but is not mandatory.

You must be very computer and software savvy including using an ATS, Onboarding System, HRIS, and payroll system.

We are a small company of 60+ employees, so all things recruitment and HR are your responsibility.

We are located in Mississauga, in the Meadowvale area

 

Job Functions:

  • Perform full-cycle recruitment for all positions, including sourcing and screening applications, conducting telephone and in-person interviews, background checks, etc.
  • Coordinate the onboarding activities for new hires.
  • Participate in community activities to promote the organization through job fairs and networking opportunities.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze turnover trends, and assist in developing retention strategies.
  • Preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to employees for benefit programs.
  • Assist in maintaining health & safety tracking and training.
  • Assist management with Progressive Disciplinary process and terminations.
  • Maintain Organizational Charts.
  • Administrative support for disability management, including WSIB documentation, Group Benefits Plan Sponsor Statements, Functional Abilities forms, and participating in Return to Work Meetings.
  • First point of contact, involving answering all employee questions about policies, benefits, leaves of absence, vacation, and all other HR programs within the facility.
  • Monitoring/reporting on absenteeism.
  • Coordinate all employee recognition activities and social events for facility, including Seasonal BBQs, Health & Safety Training Sessions, Employee Appreciation Events, and others.
  • Develop performance goals, metrics, and targets that are consistent with company goals.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide employees with performance feedback.
  • Determine areas of improvement for employees, providing additional training as needed.
  • Develop training programs that are based on regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and resolve any conflicts that arise among staff in the department.
  • Oversee personnel management, including promotions and disciplinary actions in compliance with company policies
  • Ensure employees adhere to all health and safety regulations, including company policies.
  • Manage Health and Safety Committee
  • Develop strategic performance metrics and targets that are consistent with company goals.
  • Ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Handle employee complaints and incidents, including conflict resolution, accidents, health and safety concerns, work refusals, and investigations.
  • Develop employee training, ensuring that all applicable compliance requirements are met.
  • Assist with other duties and/or projects as required.
