Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Maintenance Summer Student. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the hospital's outdoor areas, including flower beds, sidewalks, pathways, and all surrounding properties.

Duties include weeding, sweeping, cutting grass and bushes, attending to flowers, trees, and shrubs, and removing litter and debris. Additional responsibilities involve mixing fuel for power equipment, cleaning and maintaining equipment, transporting waste to the transfer station, and painting parking lot stalls, road signage, and railings.

Qualifications

  • Currently a student enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution and returning in the fall
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to complete tasks independently and work as part of a team
  • Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position
  • Reliable attendance record
