We are seeking a proactive and motivated Maintenance Technician/Mechanic for our La Salle, MB location.

The responsibilities include conducting preventive and routine maintenance, as well as troubleshooting machinery to minimize downtime. The position involves collaborating with the Production Manager and team to maintain smooth daily operations in our production facility. The ideal candidate is adaptable, enthusiastic, and possesses strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize strong mechanical and problem-solving aptitude
  • Taking proactive steps to document preventative maintenance (PMs)
  • Identifying and resolving irregularities and malfunctions
  • Overseeing routine maintenance and ensuring workplace safety
  • Showing a willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment
  • Handling installations and projects from start to completion

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with preventative and regular maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • 1-2 years of experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, and VFD operations
  • 1-3 years experience of handling installations from start to finish on projects
  • 1-2 years of welding experience
  • Proficiency in electronic systems, use of computers, and various software
  • Red Seal Certification as a Millwright is not required; certifications are not a requirement
  • Valid drivers license
  • Heavy Equipment Operator (Forklift, Loader, Skid steer)
