We are looking to hire a Welder/Assembler for our facility in Taber, AB, as well as farms in Alberta and Saskatchewan. We supply row crop farmers with the equipment and systems to plant, feed, protect, harvest, store, and process crops like potatoes, carrots, onions, beans, garlic, and other specialty crops.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assembly of equipment.
• Weld, grind, and fabricate to repair and implement modifications to equipment
• Learn how to fabricate parts with metal lathe and other machinery in the shop
• Help with unloading of trucks and containers
• Loading and unloading shipment pallets with small equipment
• Mooij systems: installation with a crew.
• When projects are far from home, we work from Monday 6 am till Friday 6 pm (with overnights in the hotel)
• Help out with all-around jobs that have to be completed.
• Use a timecard every time you work to connect the correct hours to your work order
• Maintaining shop and welding area cleanliness

Requirements:

• A welding ticket is preferred
• The ability to work well with other staff, as well as the ability to work independently
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Able to fill in work orders with a tablet and more
• Able to travel for jobs includes Edmonton, Saskatchewan, Outlook, and more
• Able to work over hours from May till October
