Industrial Electrician - Food manufacturing facility in Toronto

Job Functions:

  • Perform preventative Maintenance according to specifications and instructions of Maintenance Management.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment, and building and all of its components.
  • Design and build electrical panels for machinery.
  • Design and build electrical circuits to improve the performance of equipment and machinery.

 

Specific skills requirements:

  • Industrial Electrician license.
  • 3 years local experience in a Food Plant Manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to work any shift, including night shift.

  • Completion of an apprenticeship program & certified as 309A and /or 442A Electrician in Ontario.

  • Trouble shooting skills for Electrical & Mechanical problems
  • Understanding of electrical circuitry
  • Knowledge of PLC’s, maintenance shop machinery and electronics
  • Knowledge of building wiring and CSA codes as it applies to an Industrial establishment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy machinery.
  • Ability to work at heights, heat, cold, and within guidelines of Occupational Health & Safety.

 

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • Night shift (10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.)
  • And 10 hour shift (Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon) – 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
