Job Duties:
- Install and repair plumbing, heating, and gas systems
- Work with all types of pipe system (press, solder, thread, glued, etc)
- Lead an apprentice or two during a rough-in
- Work in tight spots
- Lift heavier items such as cast or steel
- Communicate clearly with foremen on needs such as additional materials, required information for the task, etc.
- Participate and follow through in and on safety policy and procedures
Qualifications:
- Journeyman plumbing and gas fitting certifications, with associated required hours worked in the field
- Minimum 3 years experience in the plumbing industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to handle the rigours of the job – should be able to lift minimum 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability to deal with tasks and interruptions on a day-to-day basis, while completing the scope of the job
- Full set of hand tools and basic power tools (drill, Sawzall, headlamp, similar)
