Job Title: DZ Tow Truck Driver

Location: GTA and GTHA

Job Summary: As a DZ Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating tow trucks to assist drivers in need of vehicle recovery and transport. Your primary duties will include responding to service calls, transporting vehicles, and ensuring the safe and secure delivery of vehicles to their destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate tow trucks to recover and transport disabled or damaged vehicles from various locations.
• Respond promptly to service calls from customers or dispatchers.
• Perform vehicle inspections and pre-trip/post-trip checks to ensure the tow truck is in safe working condition.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing courteous and professional service.
• Secure vehicles properly on the tow truck to prevent damage during transport.
• Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations while operating the tow truck.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on the tow truck as needed.
• Assist in loading and unloading vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a tow truck driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle recovery techniques and equipment.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Good physical condition and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and securing vehicles.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry objects up to [specific weight, e.g., 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a tow truck.

As a DZ driver, you will begin with orientation. This will focus on equipping you with the specific skills required for your role.
