Job Duties:

• Responsible for providing full cycle, in depth knowledge and support for pipefitting/steamfitting duties to ensure general and specific project requirements

• Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use and lay out the sequence of tasks

• Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, solder, assemble, and install metal, plastic, and fibreglass pipes, valves, and fittings

• Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position

• Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks

• Remove and replace worn components and do general maintenance work

Qualifications:

• Certified Red Seal Plumber / Pipefitter

• 10+ years of experience reading piping and instrumentation design diagrams

• Laying out and installing piping, tubing, fittings, and all related components.

• Installing, testing, and maintaining low- and high-pressure steam and condensate system

• Experience repairin piping systems that carry water, steam, chemicals and other process piping systems, including carbon steel and stainless steel

• Experience rigging, hoisting, lifting, and positioning equipment.

• Oil/Gas Industry experience

• The physical strength, stamina, manual dexterity, and mechanical aptitude required to perform Pipefitting duties

• The ability to read and understand complex instructions and drawings

• Able to lift items weighing over 25 kilograms

• Able to work in remote job locations

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

• Strong understanding of safety procedures and policies on an industrial job site

• Aptitude foe safety

• Strong communication skills
•  Must have own transportation and PPE gear
