Position Overview

APEX is currently accepting applications for a CNC Boring Mill within its Custom Contract Manufacturing Group. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Shift Supervisor.

The primary role of this position is to set up, operate, and maintain a Toshiba CNC Boring mill. Some overtime may be required, and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

· Setting up and operating CNC Boring Mill to specific parameters/measurements.

· Operate hand tools and precision measuring devices (wrenches, impacts, calipers).

· Read and interpret production documentation including blueprints.

· Maintain production schedules.

· Recognize and communicate areas to improve to the Machining Supervisor.

· Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

· Comply with all company policies.

Qualifications

· A college diploma in CNC or Manual Machining or equivalent work experience will be considered.

· Boring mill experience (i.e., Toshiba, Fermat, or similar).

· Probe experience (Renishaw preferred).

· Must have a strong knowledge of GD and T.

· Must be able to operate overhead crane and rigging equipment

· Able to read imperial & metric measurements.

· A strong mechanical aptitude.

· Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong communication skills.
