Position Title:
Full-Time Direct Support Professional - Adult Supported Group Living Services
Nature of Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate(s) will be tasked with providing a variety of personalized supports for individuals who currently reside in our Adult Supported Group Living Services. This role requires a commitment to work an hour base of 80 hours per pay period (bi-weekly), ensuring the highest quality of care and support is provided to our residents.
Responsibilities and Duties Include, but are not Limited to:
Case Management and House/Team Responsibilities:
- Assist with task assignments and contextual work explanation under the direction of the Team Lead.
- Aid individuals in financial matters such as annual budget planning and tax preparation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISP) and Person-Centered Plans (PCP).
- Facilitate medication setup and reconciliation on a weekly basis.
- Conduct home inspections and ensure compliance with regulations and agency policies.
Client Service:
- Foster client-centered approaches to encourage skill development, self-determination, and community inclusion.
- Provide personal care with respect for individual dignity and preferences.
- Implement program activities and goals while networking within the community for inclusion opportunities.
Communication:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders through various formats.
- Provide positive feedback to clients, supervisors, and external parties.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Teamwork:
- Collaborate respectfully with colleagues and contribute to a positive workplace environment.
- Participate in team meetings and share information for consistency of care.

Required Skills, Education, and Knowledge:
- The candidate(s) must have a relevant 2-year Community College Diploma, related University Degree or equivalent experience in the field.
- Police clearance with vulnerable sector screening.
- A valid G driver's license and insurable by the agency’s insurance company.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to respond to individual needs and crisis situations in a calm, productive manner.
- Well-developed organizational and communication skills are essential.
- Experience working with and following Behaviour Support Plans (BSP’s)
- Must be available to work, days, evenings, sleep shifts, weekends, and, must be committed to be available for call in shifts.
