As part of the Maintenance Department, the Industrial Mechanic works as part of the team to assist in maintaining the mechanical equipment in the mill.

Responsibilities:

• Follows all safe work practices and procedures
• Performs hands-on routine planned, predictive, and corrective mechanical maintenance
• Works with vendors to research mechanical technologies for optimizing mill equipment
• Reviews and interprets mechanical drawings
• Troubleshoots with other mill personnel and operational problems with equipment
• Develops and implements reliability integrity strategies for mechanical equipment
• Cleans, lubricates, and performs other maintenance work
• Maintains a high level of housekeeping standards

Qualifications:

• Red Seal / Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic certification or other related trade
• Highly motivated and able to work independently
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures
• Manual dexterity and the ability to remain standing, crouching, or bending for long periods of time
• Able to work shift coverage and overtime as required to meet emergency mill needs, and for scheduled mill outages
