NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: REGISTERED NURSE
Primary Site: Stratford
Integrated Stroke Unit/Telemetry (Acute Stroke, Stroke Rehabilitation)
Regular Part-Time B* x2
*Part-time B commitment: 22.5 hours in a 2 week period
Shifts: 12-hour shifts, Days and Nights, 7 day/week coverage, may be subject to change)
REPORTS TO: Manager, Critical Care, Telemetry/ISU and Cardiorespiratory
DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible
SALARY: $39.07 to $56.00 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
EXPERIENCE:
- Recent clinical experience (minimum two years) in Stroke Care/Rehabilitation preferred
- Recent/related courses, in-services in Stroke Care/Rehabilitation nursing preferred
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to plan, organize and problem solve
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent physical assessment skills
- Ability to understand and interpret typical and atypical telemetry and cardiac monitoring preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS (to be completed within 3 months of hire):
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Recent Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course or equivalent (current experience)
- Recent 12 lead ECG interpretation course, or equivalent (current experience)

**Successful applicants who have not yet been employed as a nurse within Ontario will be eligible to receive a commitment bonus of $25,000, in exchange for a 2 year commitment of service**
