The CNC Turret Punch Press Setup Operator is an important role in the organization that allows us to meet our production needs. This position reports to the Production Supervisor, and the hours of work are 7:30am - 4pm with the possibility of O/T.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up,operate, and program CNC Amada or other Punch/Turret Presses for sheet metal manufacturing
• Inspect all raw materials arriving in the department, ensuring gauge and quality
• Set up tools in press and maintain punch quality
• Interpret drawings and instructions to manufacture products
• Set up and operate machines
• Performs work independently and with limited supervision
• Operate machine after setup to fabricate all parts, while maintaining production and quality goals
• Adjust the machine as needed to ensure the quality of the parts
• Ensure work area is kept clean and free from hazards
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Hand on experience operating and programming Turret Punch Presses
• Experience with AMASA Presses an asset
• Proficient mathematical and technical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent time management skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to be flexible, open, and responsive to ongoing changes
