This position reports directly to the Cambridge Manager.  It is a great opportunity for someone who has over 5 years of experience in the towing industry and wants the opportunity for growth.

 

Principal Duties Include:

  • Fill in for Drivers and/or Dispatchers as needed to maintain service 
  • Function in a leadership role to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Understand, implement, and lead by example
  • Monitor Company Policies and Procedures, ensuring that the operation is in compliance with both the customer's and company's policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all direct subordinates are scheduling their workload appropriately
  • Plan, implement, and oversee the work of staff members to ensure efficiency and compliance with organizational requirements and company procedures.
  • Bring any inconsistencies in processes to the attention of the location Manager and make recommendations to get back on track
  • Maintain a safe work area to reduce the opportunity for injury to self or other workers
  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and laws
  • Ensure compliance with all Ministry of Transportation regulations and laws
  • Working alongside with the Safety Fleet and Compliance Team to ensure CVOR compliance
  • Conduct weekly truck inspections for CVOR compliance, cleanliness, and proper equipment functioning
  • Assess damages to fleet, vehicles, and property while collaborating with customer to find a resolution
  • Work with the Location and Skills & Development Manager to hire, train, and onboard new drivers as well as keep existing drivers up to date and in compliance with current laws and regulations
  • Work with Sales team regarding new and current accounts
  • Ensure that drivers are performing assigned duties correctly and safely and that they meet all job related specifications.
  • Other responsibilities may include; road checks, training, troubleshooting, and all other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain flexibility in hours as required to be on call for some weekday nights and some weekends

 

 

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum DZ license
  • 5+ years towing experience
  • Strong people skills and the ability to work with a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent supervisory skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
