Job Description:

As a Part-Time Backflow Preventer Tester, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and tests on backflow prevention devices to ensure they are functioning properly and in compliance with OWWA regulations. This is a critical role that helps protect public health by preventing the contamination of potable water supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform testing and inspection of backflow prevention devices in commercial and industrial settings.
• Document test results accurately and complete necessary paperwork and reports.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with backflow preventers, providing recommendations for repairs or replacements.
• Communicate effectively with clients
• Maintain testing equipment, and ensure it is in good working order.
• Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to backflow prevention.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Backflow Prevention Tester (required).
• Experience in plumbing or a related field (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Valid driver’s license
