JOB SUMMARY:

 

The purpose of this position is to provide critical compliance oversight regarding departmental purchasing, data integrity and report writing, and preventative maintenance documentation.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:      

 

  • Reviews, Edits, writes specifications for Service Agreements, Requests for Bid, and Requests for Proposals for services needed.
  • Research vendors including SLBE and State Contract service providers for best options.
  • Ensures contractors meet all requirements and perform tasks to set up new vendors.
  • Performs purchases for department following procurement policies.
  • Planning, Scheduling, Tracking and coordinates deliveries.
  • Generates reports, performs analytics of data, maintains files and record keeping.
  • Assists with recommendations for budget preparations.
  • Coordinates all outside service contractors including but not limited to annual inspections of elevators, fire suppression, alarms, and systems, security alarm repairs, and other systems as required.
  • Provides analysis of various reports and other data for the purpose of reviewing asset conditions and recommendations.
  • Assists plants with EPD audits as required.
  • Monitors the Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure all maintainable vertical assets have accurate data.
  • Modifies existing SOPs for Preventative Maintenance Program and makes necessary updates, changes, or modifications to ensure best practices.
  • Creates or modifies preventative maintenance according to condition assessments for repair/replacement and will assist with budget recommendations related to this data.
  • Performs other assigned duties.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; five (5) years of related work experience in data entry and procurement; The equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job is considered.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all CCWA or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position.

 

Required Licenses/Certifications:

 

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

  • This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as sedentary work involving lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.
  • Tasks require carrying, pushing, or pulling lightweight materials; tasks may also involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.

  • Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Work is performed in a relatively safe, secure, and stable work environment.
