HIAB Operator/Driver - Class 3

 We are looking for self-sufficient, motivated CDL drivers for our Calgary location who want to help us expand our fast-growing business.

 

Job requirements

  • Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Load and unload materials
  • Comply with company and government regulations and rules
  • Ensure load securement including the installation of corner boards to protect products while in transport
  • Match shipments to sales invoices
  • Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency and customer service
  • Operate truck safely
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Inspect vehicle daily as per Highway Traffic Act
  • Maintain clean equipment and monitor maintenance requirements

 

Qualifications

  • Class 1 CDL with clean driver’s abstract
  • HIAB experience/crane certification required
  • Preferably having at least 3 years of driving experience
  • Must be able to physically lift up to 100 lbs
  • Manual transmission experience is an asset
  • Knowledge and competency in flat deck load securement
  • Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, lifting up to 100 lbs
  • Able to pass a Criminal Background check
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
