Manufacturing Machine Maintenance - Worker/Technician (min 3 yrs experience)

Our company is a manufacturer of custom cabinetry, and we are looking to fill a Maintenance position in the manufacturing plant.

The Plant Maintenance employee, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, will primarily be responsible to maintain and repair manufacturing machinery while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery. The Machine Maintenance applicant must possess degree or diploma in a manufacturing-related field and three years of related experience.

 

Job Duties

  • Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine, controls, or control media within capabilities as required to ensure quality of production
  • Closely monitor machines for signs of problems while ensuring output is meeting set specifications
  • Manage the performance management schedule and perform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and tools
  • Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools including pneumatic, and computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as (but not limited to) sawing, turning, milling, planing, drilling, and precision grinding
  • Lubricate, clean, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools
  • Operate and tend automated assembling equipment such as robotic, fixed automation equipment, sensors and instrumentation
  • Position and install parts, subassemblies, and accessories using hand tools, power tools, and other aids like overhead hoists
  • Follow manufacturing and processing procedures, set machine or equipment controls, carry out production and inspection processes
  • Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day
  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety
  • Other duties as required

 

Job Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in a manufacturing-related field
  • Three years of related experience
  • Certifications or licenses appropriate to manufacturing industry (ie. millwright, machinist, electrical or mechanical engineering)
  • Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools required in various assembly processes
