Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Seek out opportunities and create thoughtful proposals to procure contracts for mechanical services, and preventative maintenance
  • Read and interpret engineered drawings, and specifications and prepare accurate estimates and proposals for contracts where we are the general contractor (i.e. boiler replacements, and various other mechanical upgrade projects)
  • Read and interpret RFQ and RFP requirements and submit proposals on time and with the required submission documentation
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with company staff, department managers, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders
  • Manage projects and project timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and quality installations
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors with the procurement of equipment and materials for projects

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in the mechanical industry and well-rounded knowledge base of mechanical systems
  • Experience in project management, estimating, and sales within the mechanical contracting industry considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge base in software products like Outlook, Word, Excel, Share point, Teams, Adobe and Bluebeam considered an asset
  • MET certification and/or Journeyperson certification in plumbing and gas fitting and 15+  years of experience in the industry considered an asset
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
