Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment within the shop. Working alongside the Mechanic, the Maintenance Technician will perform full maintenance and repair to all equipment used on site and be responsible for the administrative functions of ordering parts, communicating with vendors and suppliers and maintaining and safe and organized mechanic shop.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles (snowmobiles, tractors, ATV’s, snow groomers, etc) with the assistance of Mechanic
- Document all service and repair information and generate work orders where necessary
- Testing repaired equipment for proper performance
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or repairs in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting.
- Responsible for ordering parts, receiving parts, creating purchase orders, dealing directly with vendors and supplies
- Managing inventory of tools and equipment within the shop
- Cleaning, lubricating and performing other maintenance work
- Adherence to all workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the safe operation of tools
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Must be able to stand, lift 50lbs, carry, bend, reach
