Tapered Design/Commercial Quoting Specialist

The Tapered Design/Commercial Quoting Specialist is responsible for creating tapered insulation designs generically, and as detailed by shop drawings and quotes. This role interacts directly with our commercial contractor base, providing pricing and design information on all related roofing materials and projects. The Tapered Design/Commercial Quoting Specialist will support the outside sales team in delivering the highest level of service and design solutions for the customer.

We’re looking for self-sufficient, motivated professional for our Lynnwood location at 5804-204th Street SW who want to help us expand our fast-growing business.

Responsibilities

• Visit plan room as needed to download information and create files.
• Interact with Roofers, Consultants, Architects and Convoy team members for plan design, pricing, and technical questions.
• Attain clarifications on project requirements.
• Process orders with our inside sales team and other branches.
• Continue to develop and expand product knowledge and design skills.

Requirements

• 2-year degree or commercial roofing experience or building supply experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong problem- solving skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprint specifications (architectural)
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to access roofs via ladder and other safe methods (site roof top measuring is required)
• Strong organization, prioritization, and planning skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to climb ladders or staging to access roof tops
• Valid drivers’ license and vehicle
