Role Summary

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, outgoing individual who is looking for a rewarding career. The Maintenance Associate will provide general maintenance support, including inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs. The role involves maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for staff and visitors. Responsibilities

  • Start-up, operation (fill fryer with oil, start spiral freezer, setup bagger and all packaging machines), routine monitoring and inspection, and shutdown of process equipment at end of shift.
  • Assist Maintenance Supervisor as required.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance tasks on plant equipment.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Carry out routine maintenance of conveyors and conveyors components.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Mechanic skills, including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Experience in food industry is asset.
  • Working knowledge in the use of hand tools

Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
