We are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage international shipping operations, including sea, air, and ground transportation.
  • Ensure timely and efficient import/export processes, liaising with freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PLs.
  • Handle customs clearance, ensuring compliance with international regulations and tariffs.
  • Monitor and optimize shipping routes and costs to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop strategies to minimize shipping times and costs while maintaining high service levels.
  • Manage documentation and maintain accurate records for all shipments, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and customs documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain, production, and sales teams to align logistics operations with overall business goals.
  • Troubleshoot shipping delays and address any issues related to customs or compliance.
  • Support inventory control by coordinating deliveries and maintaining stock-level updates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics providers and negotiate contracts and rates.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics coordination, specifically in international shipping (sea, air, and ground).
  • Experience in the automotive industry and familiarity with global shipping regulations.
  • Expertise in customs clearance and working with customs brokers.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, compliance, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to develop strategies to reduce shipping costs and transit times.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with logistics in the automotive sector an asset
  • Familiarity with ERP and inventory management systems an asset.
