Position Overview
We are currently accepting applications for a CNC Boring Mill within our Custom Contract Manufacturing Group. This is a full-time, permanent position that reports to the Shift Supervisor.
The primary role of this position is to set up, operate, and maintain a Toshiba CNC Boring mill. Some overtime may be required, and training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate the CNC Boring Mill to specific parameters/measurements.
- Operate hand tools and precision measuring devices (wrenches, impacts, calipers).
- Read and interpret production documentation, including blueprints.
- Maintain production schedules.
- Recognize and communicate areas to improve to the Machining Supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Comply with all company policies.
Qualifications
- A college diploma in CNC or Manual Machining or equivalent work experience.
- Boring mill experience (i.e., Toshiba, Fermat, or similar).
- Probe experience (Renishaw preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GD and T.
- Able to operate overhead crane and rigging equipment
- Able to read imperial & metric measurements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
