Position Summary
We’re looking for self-sufficient, motivated CDL Driver for our Barrie location at 95 Welham Road who want to help us expand our fast-growing business.
Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
- Inspect truck and/or trailer daily
- Load and unload materials
- Match shipments to sales invoices
- Use Samsara technology to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency, and customer service
- Operate truck safely
- Ensure load securement including installation of corner boards to protect products while in transport
Requirements
- Passionate about great service & teamwork
- Dedicated to safety, on and off the road
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Class DZ Driver’s License with driver’s abstract
- Inspect vehicle daily as per Highway Traffic Act
- Maintain clean equipment and monitor maintenance requirements
- Experience with a truck mounted forklift (Moffett) is an asset
- Manual Transmission experience required
- Knowledge in legal truck weights and weight displacement
- Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, lifting up to 100 lbs
