We are a small Property Management  Company seeking an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper /Administrator who will perform all bookkeeping and accounting duties as a full cycle bookkeeper as well as act as perform the duties of the Office Administrator. 

 

We are located in Toronto (Leslieville) on Logan Ave at Carlaw and Dundas East. easily accessible by public transit, and/or a free parking spot provided.

We are a commercial property management and commercial rental company who owns, runs and manages multiple commercial  buildings across the east side of Toronto and maintains a quality set of businesses as our clients.

This is an in-office position.  You can choose between 32 and 40 hours weekly being 4 or 5 days per week. We are a small 2-3-person office.

You are both the Accountant and and Right-Hand Person to the President/Owner 

 

On the accounting side you will be doing all bookkeeping and accounting functions including:

  • Rent Collections
  • Full cycle bookkeeping
  • Do deposits
  • Payroll for up to 5 people
  • Payables
  • Prepare monthly financials
  • All journal entries
  • Bank Recs
  • Prepare financial documents for accounting firm.

 

On the Admin side you will:

  • Schedule move-in/move-out with tenants and ensure all documents are in order.
  • Answering and dealing with calls from tenants, prospective tenants and real estate agents.
  • Respond to and liaison with clients/tenants, real estate firms, vendors and other stakeholders
  • Organize & maintain filing, leases, and other confidential material.
  • Show properties from time to time
  • You act as the right-hand person to the President / Owner.

 

We use Yardi Breeze Property Management software. It would be great if you are experiences with Yardi, however we are open to applicants with strong accounting software skills.

 

Qualifications:

  • Solid bookkeeping and or accounting experience
  • Able to read and modify leases
  • Excellent computer and MS Office skills
  • Reliable and Punctual
  • Has a can and will do attitude
  • Enjoys dealing with people
  • Able to use our Yardi Breeze Property Management software or have experience with other property management software.
  • Have a car and drivers license.

 

You MUST have a car to be able to drive to buildings which are a short distance from our office

 

We Offer:

  • $30 to $40 per hour dependent on experience
  • Choice of a 4- or 5-day work week – 32 to 40 hours
