We specialize in large scale machining, and support primarily the mining and oil & gas markets.  Our work is not repetitive as each project we build is unique. 

                                                                           

Job Description:

The Machinist shall report directly to the Machine Shop Supervisor and will be responsible for operating conventional and CNC machines, complete inspections and dimensional reports, perform preventative maintenance on equipment, supervising and directing apprentices and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.  Field work may be required.\

 

Education Required:

  • Relevant post-secondary training, COQ 429A is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License is preferred.

 

Job Specific requirements:

  • Familiarity with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
  • Ability to work with large pieces.

Training:

All training required is provided by the company, and all time spent training is paid.

  • Standard companywide training including Health & Safety Awareness for Workers, Accessibility for Ontarian with Disabilities (AODA), WHMIS 2015, Operational Procedures, Health & Safety Policies and Programs.
  • All applicable Quality Operating Procedures as determined by the Machine Shop Supervisor.
  • Any other training mandated by the federal or provincial government.
  • Machine specific training.
  • Working at Heights.
  • Overhead Crane Operation.
  • Lift Truck.
  • Aerial Work Platform training may be required.
  • Any other training recommended by the Machine Shop Supervisor.
