Class A & B CDL Driver 

Position summary

We’re looking for self-sufficient, motivated Class A & B CDL drivers for our Kent location at 19041 – 80th Avenue S, Kent, to deliver building supply materials to customers; local deliveries only.

Responsibilities

  • Transport building materials to our customers by using time efficiently and ensuring accurate accounting for items delivered or picked up.
  • Drivers must maintain safe operation of company vehicles on all public and private roadways and property
  • Take care of any other customer needs such as returns and proper handling of cash money, checks or other items entrusted to them by the customer or the Company
  • Drivers will conduct themselves with professionalism as Class A/B CDL Drivers using safe driving techniques, defensive driving, and abiding by all of the DOT mandated regulations which may apply to their day to day work
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

 

Job requirements

  • Knowledge of transportation principles and methods for transporting goods by commercial vehicle
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Skilled in using time efficiently and attention to detail
  • Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Class A/B Driver’s License and clean CVOR abstract
  • Prefer a minimum of 3 years driving experience
  • Ability to work well with other employees to foster a respectful and professional work environment
  • Experience in the construction/roofing business would be an asset
  • Ability to drive trucks with a manual transmission
  • Ability to work overtime if required
  • Ability to pass drug screening
