We are hiring an experienced Millwright/Industrial Mechanic to join our team in Surrey, BC . Join a successful, growing Canadian construction firm committed to providing team members with stable, long-term careers and growth opportunities. Your duties would include:

  • Reading blueprints and schematics (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical) to install machinery and equipment.
  • Weld and fabricate (machine guards etc.)
  • Troubleshooting and repair of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic
  • Daily preventative maintenance inspections of production and mobile equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, bending equipment, shearlines, PLC equipment, overhead cranes, compressors and pneumatic systems
  • Work with a team or independently
  • Fabricate parts and equipment
  • Reporting and record keeping

The qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Promotes Safety in the Workplace
  • Has a good knowledge of precision measuring tools.
  • Has solid electrical and mechanical experience.
  • Is able to troubleshoot and address problems as they arise.
  • Is able to work at different heights.
  • Is familiar with material handling systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Welding and Fabrication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Experienced with hand and power tools
  • Preferred - A Red Seal trade certification, or registered apprentice certification
  • Ability to travel if required

Wages will be based on experience and the position is available immediately.
