Our high-volume wood manufacturing plant is currently looking to fill multiple general labour positions at our Edmonton east facility. Positions will vary depending on experience and skillset. The right candidates for these positions can have experience in wood manufacturing or carpentry but not a requirement. We will provide training onsite.    

Responsibilities: 

• Using power tools to finish and complete structured wood beams, applying paint and sealer, working with Glue lamina to assemble beams of various lengths and shapes, operating overhead cranes, grading lumber and general worksite clean up duties.
• Specialized training after a probationary period may include workplace inspections, Joint workplace H&S committee training, cross training in other departments.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be physically fit and able to lift to a maximum of 50lbs consistently.
• Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to work 8hour shifts – 40hour week. 
• Must be flexible to work on day shifts, afternoons, and possible night shifts when production needs are required. Standard CSA approved Steel toed boots are required, we will provide safety glasses, work gloves, and reflective vests. WHMIS 2015 certification,
• Overhead Crane certification, First aid training are all assets to this position but not a requirement.

Wages/Benefits: Wage will start at $18.00hr. Wages will be evaluated and increased with more training, competency and progression with the company.
