Our company is a chair systems solution company with more than 50 years of experience in plastic injection moulding. We have made it our business to offer sophisticated components made from various plastics to leading office furniture manufacturers worldwide.

 

We are looking for a hands-on HS/HR Coordinator with strong relationship building skills to join our growing Team.

Responsibilities will include:

Recruitment:

  • Participate in the full cycle recruitment process
  • Assist with the organization, delivery and implementation of internal and external training & development programs

 

Health & Safety:

  • Work with Human Resources Manager, maintain and develop the workplace health & safety program
  • Facilitate the completion of incident investigations, maintain records of inspections, incidents findings and suggesting improvements/producing statistics
  • WSIB claims management
  • Review storage of controlled products and document inspections
  • Complete health and safety reports/ Coordinate health and safety talks/ newsletters

 

Employee Relations:

  • Attendance program management
  • coaching and mentoring on employee matters
  • Support Social Committee

 

Administration:

  • Payroll back up, benefit administration, maintain Employee Records

 

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education from an accredited institution in Human Resources
  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to take direction and work independently when required
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Work well in a collaborative and fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of HR programs, policies and employment standards legislation
  • Ability to communicate quickly and concisely in a verbal and written format;
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and compare data
  • Must be flexible in work schedule to accommodate a 24 hour 5 days per week operation
