Our company currently has a job opening for a full time, permanent Senior Cost Estimator. Our company has been in business for over 20 years and has experienced growth in everyone of those years. The services that we offers include, 3D printing, Manual Machining, CNC Machining, Water Jet and Laser Cutting, Plate Shearing, Bending and Rolling, Pipe Rolling, and all types of welding.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Manage emailed and walk in requests for quotation from customers and determine what materials and processes are required  to accurately provide them with a quote, in a timely manner
• Communicate with Velocity managers to determine lead times.
• Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing and delivery for services that Velocity does not offer in house, such a painting, powder coating and anodizing.
• Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing for materials.
• Communicate with customers to resolve issues as they occur.
• Input all data into our ERP system.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability and desire to work 42.5 hours per week.
• Great attention to detail and accuracy.
• In depth knowledge of machining, especially CNC, gained either through formal education or life experience.
• Experience with an ERP system such as Job Boss2 or similar would be and asset.
• Proficiency in data entry.
• Experience with CAD software would be an asset.
• Ability to multitask.
• Time management and critical thinking skills are mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
