We are currently looking for a team-oriented full-time Automation Project Manager to join our team.

 

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Automation Department Manager, this role is responsible for the life cycle management of key customer projects and accounts. The Automation Project Manager will be accountable for the entire program to which they are assigned, be the key customer contact, and link multiple projects across multiple sites.

 

The responsibilities for the Automation Project Manager will include:

  • Plan and adjust project plans to be on schedule, at or below budget, and delivery of the contracted scope of work to all applicable codes and standards.
  • Be the key customer contact for assigned projects. Maintain regular communication (verbal and written) with key customer representative(s), ensuring all program events and issues are documented in writing.
  • Manage project risks including assessment and identification and implementation of risk mitigation plan(s).
  • Complete full cycle project planning including developing a budget, allocation for labour and materials, develop and identify critical path activities, and work with employees and managers to arrange adequate resources are assigned to all project tasks/timelines.
  • Manage all financials inclusive of the assigned project(s) and ensure all supporting documentation is prepared for each milestone payment.

 

Education, Skills and Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience (experience managing automation programs with multidisciplinary teams considered an asset).
  • Proven track record of providing positive leadership and coordination to a multi-disciplined project design and assembly team.
  • Practical working knowledge of the automation industry and customer processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers according to deadlines and under pressure-filled conditions is essential.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project 365 considered an asset.
