Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve equipment failures
- Perform mechanical repair & maintenance activities throughout the plant on equipment and facilities.
- Motors, hydraulics & pneumatic systems, bearings & gearboxes. Water heating and cooling systems.
- Welding & fabrication.
- Utilize Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement to maximize equipment output and processes
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management system for processing work orders, PM’s and updating the equipment databases
- Support divisional and corporate objectives including health & safety, productivity, continuous improvement, innovation, quality, and waste
Qualifications
- Certified Industrial Millwright 433A (Red Seal ticket)
- 2+ years of work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledgeable of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and possesses a strong safety focus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management software
- Available and flexible to work in a fast paced environment
- Experience with electronics & PLCs. AC & DC motors and controls an asset.
- Ability to operate specialized vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.
- Must be physically able to push, pull, and lift 40 lbs.
- Willingness to work extended hours when and where required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
