We are currently looking for a team-oriented full-time Electrical Machine Builder to join our team.

 

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Electrical Lead Hand, this role is responsible for assembling, wiring, and installing all electrical aspects of industrial machinery.

 

The responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical, electrical, and electronic components of machinery and equipment, including transformers, generators exciters, and hydraulic and pneumatic devices.
  • Responsible for the assembly of control panels, cabinets, and sub-assemblies, involving wiring, crimping, and working with wire harnesses.

 

Education, Skills and Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Degree in Electrical Technician related field from a certified college or institution considered an asset.
  • Ability to read prints and make changes on the fly and identify deficiencies with design.
  • Knowledge of electrical code/electrical safety.
  • Understanding of machine wiring cable routing.
  • Interconnecting methods.
  • Previous experience with control panel building considered an asset.
  • Basic hand and power tool knowledge.
  • Able to travel within North America to support machine installation and start-up.
