BILLING & COLLECTIONS SUPERVISOR – CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

 

As a key member of the finance and accounting team, you will have day-to-day responsibility to ensure the timely preparation and submission of customer invoices and the subsequent certification and collection of associated receivables.

 

Duties Include:

  • Review of construction contracts for billing instructions and special conditions
  • Prepare substantiated costings for each billing cycle;
  • Prepare progress and retainage invoices in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Co-ordinate with project managers and Commercial Manager to make any adjustments to draft billings prior to issuing to client / payment certifier
  • Liaise with sub-trades in relation to certified costings;
  • Communicate directly with client / payment certifier on attaining billing certification
  • Maintain accounts receivable reporting
  • Ensure aged receivables are identified and actioned in a timely manner.

 

Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of construction industry contract billing, SOVs, hold-back / retainage, and project certification protocol are all fundamental perquisites.
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
