Direct Support Professional – Awake-Night Position

OUR MISSION: Provide person-centered services that support people living with intellectual disabilities

CURRENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:  1 Full-Time Position 80 Hours Bi-Weekly & 1 Part-Time Position-60 Hours Bi-Weekly

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate(s) will provide a variety of personalized supports for individuals who currently reside in the Adult and/or Children’s Supported Group Living Services. This is a new dynamic role that will be comprised of seven awake shifts bi-weekly. In the event of an emergency, the successful candidate(s) will be expected to do their awake shift at any location that may need assistance, otherwise, the successful candidate(s) will do the shift at their home location.

  • Rate of pay for these positions; Part-Time $21.82 to $23.00 (this includes the $3.00 per hour wage increase for qualifying employees provided by the Ontario Government).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Police clearance with vulnerable sector screening.
  • A valid G driver's license and insurable by the agency’s insurance company or working towards G level license is mandatory
  • Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and provide proof.  It is recommended that you have all Ministry of Health-recommended Covid-19 boosters/vaccinations. 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to respond to individual needs and crisis situations in a calm, productive manner.
  • Well-developed organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Valid Standard First Aid, Level C & CPR.
  • Bilingual in French is an asset.
