Material Co-ordinator (Shipper/Receiver)

Description of Work

The Material Coordinator will support the current department staff and is responsible for the safe and efficient material control and shipping/receiving activities to support customer and operational requirements.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive material, supplies and components and ensure documentation is properly completed.
  • Check received goods, ensuring conformity to certificates of compliance.
  • Ensure received items are placed in stores or in designated location.
  • Process pick list, transfer inventory, remove non-conforming parts when required, issue components and perform physical stock counts.
  • Ensure accuracy of physical inventory management and counts; cycle counts.
  • Design packaging in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Package/label finished goods according to customer specifications and contract.
  • Maintain adequate stock of packaging supplies.
  • Process documents pertaining to the sale of finished goods and the return of warranty repairs.
  • Local pickup and delivery of product using company van
  • Report any known missing or defective equipment or protective devices.
  • Exterior building maintenance functions

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience in receiving, material handling/coordination, shipping, Processes and activities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of  job traveller administration raw material inspection and process.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Possess a valid vehicle license and clean driving record.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Working Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Licensed tow motor operation

 

Hours of Work

  • Day shift, shifts range from 8 hours to 10 hours, 4 and 5 days per week
