The Role

A Labourer works alongside the Site Assistant and Superintendent to assist with general labour tasks including lifting, digging, and general job site clean-up.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading construction materials, and moving them to work areas
• Work in a fast-paced outdoor environment
• Digging, lifting, and moving equipment and material as required
• Provide general clean up and ongoing maintenance of the job site
• Removing/sweeping rubble and other debris at construction sites.
• Shovel snow on job site, when needed

Qualifications

• Able to lift minimum 55 lb.
• Must have a valid Alberta driver’s license
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Safety first mentality
• Knowledge of a variety of tools
• Physically capable of performing construction work
• Adaptable and flexible personality, able to react to change in a positive way
• A problem solver who brings a "can do" attitude to work each day
• Safety training or PHBI courses an asset
