Intermediate / Senior Water Resources Engineer

We are a growing firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and in Ontario, and we are looking for a motivated and skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our Team. We currently have an opening for a full-time Intermediate/ Senior Water Resources Engineer in any of our Ontario offices (Barrie, Mississauga, Ottawa, or Oshawa).

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, water resources, or environmental engineering.
  • Registration or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • 5+ years of experience in water resource engineering, preferably in a consulting environment
  • Strong knowledge of water resource management principles, including hydrology, water quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Experience using modeling software, such as HEC-HMS, MODFLOW, or SWMM.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with a team of professionals and effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD software is a plus.

 

Main Duties:

  • Provide technical support on a wide variety of water resources projects, as well as hydrogeological and environmental projects; including the preparation and supervision of field programs, data collection, data analysis, technical report writing, and proposal preparation.
  • Coordinate with hydrogeologists.
  • Support other multidisciplinary programs, as needed, including environmental field biological and hydrological surveys, soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water sampling, and contaminated site assessment programs.
  • Assist intermediate and senior staff in preparing proposals and cost estimates, performing engineering and geoscience analysis and writing technical reports presenting field findings, data analysis results, recommendations, etc.
  • Conduct studies and develop plans to manage water resources, including surface and groundwater, stormwater, and wastewater.
  • Analyze hydrologic data and use modeling software to create simulations and predictions of the water cycle

 

Position:

  • Full time salaried position.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
