We are presently looking for a Logistics Coordinator with a minimum of 3 years experience in Logistics Coordinator role in the transportation industry with experience in Air Operations and Sea Freight.

Your main objective will be to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction is preserved.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for booking shipments online and over the phone
  • Providing on-time updates to customers
  • Negotiating rates with carriers
  • Entering data, solving issues, and following up
  • Providing excellent service to external and internal customers.
  • After-hours support and periodically weekends support will be required.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Freight Forwarding
  • Certified to handle air and sea operation.
  • Brokerage experience 
  • Knowledge of Tradeshow, LTL, and less than truckload; FTL – Full Truckload and Air Freight, as well as other supply chain management solutions
  • Knowledge about transportation
  • Brokerage/sales experience
  • Experience marketing multipart logistical solutions to a wide range of clients
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of the Global Freight Market, as well as US Domestic and Cross Border
  • Experience working with Load Link and UFOS programs (an asset)
  • Excellent telephone manners
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Great problem solving skills

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for initiating sales calls to prospective or current clients
  • Prospect for leads and perform heavy cold calling to build a pipeline of businesses
  • Supervise accounts daily to retain existing relationships
  • Responsible for price and service negotiation with customers and carriers
  • Responsible for creating sales goals to aid in achieving targets
  • Uphold rapport with clients and prospects
  • Nurture new sales leads to secure business
  • Responsible for offering quotes to current and prospective clients
  • Responsible for supervising shipments until delivery completed to guarantee smooth operations and customer satisfaction
  • Carry out research to identify companies not currently doing business with us.
  • Manage orders and arrange stocking of materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs
  • Plan and track shipment of final products according to customer requirements
  • Communicate with suppliers, retailers, and customers to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
  • Maintain logs and records of executed orders
  • Prepare accurate periodic reports for management
  • Prepare accurate invoices and follow up on collection.
  • Monitoring industry news and data to proactively respond to developments which can affect our ability to move customer goods.
