Construction Foreman/Lead Hand (Mechanical/Civil Construction)
Located in New Hamburg, Ontario

We are currently looking to hire a full-time Foreman for various size projects throughout Southwestern and Central Ontario.

Summary
:

We are seeking an eager individual who wants to learn and grow within our organization. We are currently seeking people with a minimum of 5 years of experience supervising construction projects. The Construction Foreman will work alongside our site superintendents / project managers on larger scale projects, or independently on smaller scale projects. The Construction Foreman is responsible for effectively carry out day to day duties and responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists with coordination of on-site activities.
  • Assists with preparation and execution of overall work plan and schedule.
  • Supervises and works with field personnel in completing scopes of work as require
  • Ensures projects are completed in strict accordance with company standards and design/contract requirements.
  • Promotes and maintains a safe working site, ensuring proper use of PPE and equipment.
  • Maintains daily work logs documenting construction activities and progress of project,
  • Attendance at job site, scheduling, and health & safety meeting
  • Follows up on warranty issues and facilitates project completion.

 

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word), SharePoint and Adobe.
  • 5+  years of experience in Foreman or Lead Hand role.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License.
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Exposure to work in the year-round construction environment.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to meet and adhere to deadlines and work under strict time constraints.

 

Skills considered to be an asset:

  • Mechanical and/or Civil construction related experience.
  • Post-Secondary Education/College Diploma - Civil or Construction Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
  • Knowledge of water treatment and/or wastewater treatment facility construction.
  • Experience with skid steer loaders, telehandlers, and mini excavators.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
