Job Summary

We are currently hiring a Journeyperson Metal Fabricator to supervise our weekend fabrication crew. The ideal candidate has a Red Seal or Certificate of Qualification in Metal Fabrication, and at least 3 years of experience in a charge-hand or supervisory role. Sheet Metal Workers and Welders with extensive fabrication experience may be considered, and are encouraged to apply.

A day in the life of a Fitter Supervisor in our fabrication shop will include overseeing the assignment of work tasks to welders, fabricators, and laborers on shift; coaching and mentoring apprentice tradespeople; ensuring all work is completed on time and to a high quality standard; and actively working to maintain a safe and respectful work environment. Here, supervising is a hands-on job and provides plenty of opportunity to work meaningfully alongside the rest of the crew.

We believe a successful supervisor is accountable not only for themselves, but also for all those who work under them. As the worker with the highest level of delegated authority on shift, the Weekend Fabrication Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely and accurately with no rework or lost time.
