About the Company:

We are Southern Ontario's largest independent office supplies dealer and we are currently seeking a Retail Manager to manage our day to day operations and to increase productivity within the team.

As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Retail Associates, Furniture Sales, and Warehouse Distribution departments.

Shift: Must be flexible to work retail hours and rotating shifts.

Your Tasks:

  • Develop and implement sales strategy
  • Interviewing, selection, hiring, and onboarding of new staff members
  • Lead, coach, and provide ongoing training for staff
  • Manage day to day performance and work as part of the team to maximize productivity
  • Manage staff shift scheduling
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Ensure company merchandise standards and replenishment processes are followed
  • Work with shipping department to ensure proper packaging, shipping, and inventory management procedures; coordinate and work closely with the Warehouse Manager
  • Implement and execute strategies to manage loss prevention
  • Conduct alarm checks and security walks per store opening and closing procedures
  • Follow and implement all company policies and procedures
  • Resolve any customer concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Work collaboratively with other team members
  • Always represent yourself and the company in a professional manner
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required

We Require:

  • Minimum 2 years of Retail Management experience
  • High school diploma; management courses are an asset
  • Goal-oriented and able to achieve team sales targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced and energetic work environment
  • Must be flexible to work rotating shifts including evenings and weekends

Our Offer:

  • Competitive pay based on experience; $44,000 to $48,000
  • Opportunity for growth
  • Full-time hours plus overtime
