Position Summary

Assists with assembling custom engineered machinery.  Takes direction from Supervisor utilizing supplied mechanical schematics to carry out the mechanical assembly, basic wiring, and plumb pneumatic/hydraulic components.  Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Assists with complex and advanced assembly of any TSE product to the highest of quality standards and with limited to zero scrap or rework according to established specifications and instructions.
  • Assists with assembly of various sub-components and processes of building machine including but not limited to: hydraulics, keyways, torque, wiring, and alignment
  • Performs pre-assembly activities drills holes in specified locations for mounting control units, ensures all parts/components are ready
  • Performs assembly of various components on machinery as instructed
  • Performs final assembly activities such as cleaning, lubricating, installing various parts/components (i.e. seats, flaps, rollers, etc.) as instructed
  • Follows work instructions to ensure quality and consistency in product function
  • Operates safely various power tools and hand tools to include but not limited to: power drill, pneumatic tools, and wrench screwdriver, ratchet, and wire stripper
  • Assists coworkers as needed
  • Exhibits quality workmanship by achieving production times within quality limits
  • Safely use carts, dollies and hoists to move products / parts
  • Asks questions when instructions are not understood or clear
  • Any reasonable and safe task assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

3-5 years mechanical experience. Knowledge of hydraulics, basic wiring and schematic reading preferred.

Language Skills

Reads and comprehends complex instructions, brief correspondence, and memos; Presents information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees effectively.

Mathematical Skills

Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;

Reasoning Ability

Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed, written or oral instructions; Deals with problems involving a variables in standardized situations.

 

Physical Requirements of Job

Medium Work: Lift 50 pounds maximum. Frequently lift/carry up to 25 pounds. Unrestricted walking and standing.

Unrestricted walking and standing; ability to bend, squat, kneel, and climb.
