Architectural Designer/Drafter [Building Science]

Mitrex, an Integrated solar and construction solution provider, is looking for an architect with AutoCAD and Revit experience to design facades for high-rise building structures. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person.

COMPETENCIES:

- Must have working knowledge and construction experience in façade design and engineering for architectural building systems.

- Must have 5 years of construction industry experience, including building envelope knowledge

- Must have 2 years of design experience with multi-residential and/or commercial buildings

- Must be able to use 2D & 3D AutoCAD software, and Revit software

- Must be able to develop 3D models with Revit software

- Experience with Revit/BIM360 integration

- Must be able to do BIM modelling [for wall assembly] [Building Infrastructure Management]

- Must know building codes

- Experience with Rhino 3D, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign Software is an asset

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare construction drawings of varying complexity on high-rise multi-residential, commercial and institutional projects

- Prepare cut sheet and shop drawings of facades for the production line

- Draft 2D and 3D basic building systems and mark-up drawings.

- Shop drawing panel layout design

- System connecting details

- Revisions and editing of designs

- Communications with clients for approvals

- Communications with worksite project managers and installations

- Preparation of BOM and materials for ordering

WHAT WE OFFER:

- We offer a salary of $65,000-$85,000/year based on experience, plus a bonus based on performance.
