POSITION: Mountain Bike Program Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Bike & Trail

STATUS OF POSITION: Seasonal

Position Summary

This year we are excited to be growing our bike offerings and programs and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to help us improve and grow. The Mountain Bike Program Coordinator will take the lead in developing our program content and will oversee the bike staff and day to day operations. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of program content for Horseshoe Mountain Bike Camp in regards to maintaining quality programs, safety and an overall enjoyable experience for the campers
  • Oversee the daily operations of camp programming and campers through planning & implementing camp activities, engaging and interacting with participants and parents/guardians
  • Serves as a liaison with parents of campers, instructors and campers and Horseshoe Resort staff
  • Provide leadership, orientation, training and recognition to all staff 
  • Responsible for overseeing the recruitment of the Mountain Bike Camp team and completing necessary duties such as hiring, training, scheduling and payroll.
  • Manage the staffing of instructors for both camp and lesson programs
  • Act as a backup to instructors as needed
  • Complete administrative duties as required

 

Qualifications:

  • PMBIA Level 1 or equivalent is required. PMBIA Level 2 or equivalent is an asset.
  • Experienced downhill and cross country mountain bike rider
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a coaching or program coordinator role. 
  • Ability to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work outdoors as necessary - required
